Fire Chief Chris Smith
Chief Smith has been a member of Canton Township Fire Department since 2001 and was promoted to Shift Commander in January of 2013, overseeing 2nd shift. He was appointed full-time Fire Chief in July of 2014.

Deputy Chief Jack Liberator (EMS)
Deputy Chief Liberator has been a long-time member of Canton Township Fire Department, joining the Meyers Lake station as a volunteer in 1947 and over the years has progressed through various ranks. DC Liberator oversees our EMS functions for the department.

Senior Captain Rick Morabito (Training Div.)
Senior Captain Morabito has been a member of Canton Township Fire Department since 2013, starting as a paid-per-call member at our Meyers Lake station. He was appointed as a full-time Firefighter Paramedic in January of 2013 and was promoted to Shift Commander in January of 2017 overseeing 3rd shift. Captain Morabito runs the training division for the Fire Department.

Captain Karla Nevel
(Fire Prevention & Investigation)
Captain Nevel has been a member of Canton Township Fire Department since 1986, starting as a volunteer with the North Industry station. Captain Nevel progressed through various ranks and hired as a full-time member of the department in 1993. The Township appointed her as the Fire Prevention Officer and Fire Investigator in 2003.

Susan Marks (Administrative Assistant)
Susan Marks joined the Canton Township Fire Department team in 2008 as our full-time Administrative Assistant. Susan oversees the general operations of the office as well as coordinating the use of the Community Center.
Scott Johnson (Administrative Aide)
Scott Johnson became a member of Canton Township Fire Department in 1984 as a volunteer at our Meyers Lake station. He was appointed as a full-time Firefighter Paramedic in 1991 and progressed through the ranks. Scott was promoted to Shift Commander in 2007, overseeing 2nd shift. In 2013 he retired from full-time firefighting and became the part-time Administrative Aide for the department. Scott's role is assisting in all areas of the department and oversees billing, state reporting, state credentialing and public relations.
